Brittney began her career in the legal field in 2002 as a paralegal. After ten years of being a paralegal, Brittney started her journey to becoming a lawyer. She attended the University of Texas at Dallas, graduating with a degree in Sociology and Psychology. Brittney then attended the UNT Dallas College of Law, where she attended the evening program while continuing to work full-time as a paralegal. Brittney completed the evening program early and graduated from law school in January 2020. Brittney has practiced exclusively plaintiff’s employment law since becoming a licensed attorney.

Brittney has extensive experience in employment law. For several years, Brittney was an employment law paralegal for her now partners, Matt Scott and Jamie Gilmore. This gave her the opportunity to attend depositions, hearings, and mediations with Matt and Jamie. Brittney was also an integral and vital part of the trial team in numerous employment cases before ever becoming an attorney. During law school, Brittney interned in the litigation section of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, where she got an inside look at the operations and processes at the EEOC. Brittney’s exposure to employment law in both of these settings led to her decision to focus her practice on employment law.

Unlike most new lawyers, Brittney’s 18 years of paralegal experience before becoming a licensed attorney allow her to jump into handling all aspects of her case load, from the initial consultation through resolution. In her four years of practice, Brittney has already tried several employment discrimination jury trials and arbitrations.
